The inauguration of the Kala Mela is scheduled for 25th December 2024.
Duration and Timings
The Kala Mela will remain open for the public from 25th December to 29th December 2024 between 11.00 am to 7.00 pm daily. (The timings are subject to change if needed)
Rules & Regulations
Only two works of artists in one category will be accepted.
Sculptures shall be submitted in durable materials and must not be more than 4 feet in height (including pedestal) or length or breadth.
Works should be original & any initiation will not be considered
Any participant who is willing to insure his / her exhibit may do so at his/ her own cost.
Under no circumstance the artworks can be returned unless the exhibition is over.
The association will retain 25% of the sale price of exhibits.
Exhibitions will run for 5 days depending on other programming activities.
Deadline for Submission
Must complete submission by 20th December 2024 (Friday) at 10:00 AM in your time zone.
Sales of Art
A 25% commission will go to the Alumni Association, GCAC, Khallikote, and 75% will go to the artist. All works sold must remain in the gallery for the duration of the exhibition.
Delivery of Artwork
SHIPPED artwork should arrive at the Canonfire Creatives, Plot No.150, Saheed Nagar, Bhubaneswar-751007 before 20th December 2024. HAND-DELIVERED work can be brought to the above address by 24th December 2024 at noon. Shipped works will be boxed and returned on 30th December by 1 PM.
Artist Statement
Provide one statement (500 characters only including spaces) for all the pieces you are submitting and its relevance to the concept of 'Bound'. This statement will go with your work in the exhibition catalog, please edit it carefully.

Insurance & Liability
All exhibited works must be self-insured by the artist during shipping or delivery. Cannot be liable for any theft or damage to works of art. All exhibited works must be self-insured by the artist.
Submission of Exhibits
Only colour photographs (7” X5”) of exhibits will be received along with the schedule duly filled in with a self-passport size photograph and entry fee. Sculptures front two should be submitted photographs should be true of the original work in colour & clarity Artists biography, pass photo, Artist name, Born title, size, medium, year of painting, and code address.
Entry fee
The entry fee (non-refundable) per schedule is Rs. 1000/- (One Thousand only)
One Artist can participate in more than one category and in that case, he/she has to deposit the entry fees and schedule form separately.
The fee should be deposited online or offline by paying bank details to the Alumni Association, GCAC, Khallikote, or by cash at the time of submission of photographs & schedule.

Framing & Labelling
Exhibits must be suitably framed with ring hooks. The exhibits with glass framing will not be entertained.
All exhibits must have labels parted on the reverse side with an over frame.
Return of exhibits
Exhibits must be collected by the exhibitor within 5 days after the closing of the exhibition on return of the receipt issued by the Alumni Association. The Association shall bear no liability for any exhibit beyond 5 days after the exhibition is over.
